hi im back.
i know i owe you this for a very long time. i must have a lot of patience typing this. I typed a very long post at about 1am - 2am and then suddenly they disappeared. anyway here goes...
to tell u the truth, i have been smoking in genting...passively
genting is a very cold/misty place and there are smokers all around.
friday my family left home at 9pm, reaching there at 9.35pm. bus leaves at 10.30pm so had to be there at 10am. while waiting, my family went to a food court nearby and i ordered seafood fried rice with not-so-cooked prawns with 3/4 full of ice , and my mum ordered the kuay teow in gravy i think.
it takes about 6 hours to go there, but it felt greatly shortened all thanks to my bro's ipod (thanks bro). the trio in front of me was leaning all the way back and talking loudy, playing songs on their handphone (is that possible?). i brought a book, wanted to read, but you cant on the lights. they had the buttons on top, to on the light, etc, but they didnt work.
reached there at about 4.30am, walked around. many shops didnt open cos too early.ate buffet breakfast at about 6am. my aim was to eat everything, and i did. the curry laska, porriage, nasi lemak, fried rice and others. after that i was very full. i took a lot of pics, but i dont think anyone would be interested.
after that walked around til 8.30am. my mum threw away the queue ticket, but luckily my dad found an earlier ticket scheduled at 9.30.i slept (drooling)putting my legs up on the next chair, but the officer came to put ym legs downs. haiz... our earlier ticket was scheduled for 10.30am. got into our room until 10am. had flu attack while waiting.
my whole family slept til 2pm. after waking up, we walked around simillar to morning, except that all the shops were open. we went to the hawker centre. i ate the wanton mee, not very nice, my aunt ate the hot plate noodles, pretty nice i have 2 say, and my mum ordered the yong tau foo, ok lah. my dad wasnt hungry so didnt eat. after that walked around.
my most interesting visit was the Ripley's Believe It or Not. very interesting, took a lot of pics. had to convince my dad real badly to accompany me. (scared lah). when u enter, they asked u to take a pic with the world's heaviest person ever (i think). but at the end of the exhibition, my dad didnt want to buy although i look good on that pic (hehe...). they printed every single photo even if u didnt want to buy. imagine the waste. overall interesting but i didnt really enjoy the african part, v scary for me.
went back to hotel, bought cappacino popcorns. not bad. my mum and aunt were relaxing on the bed (aka sleeping). i didnt sleep. i talked to my mum and aunt about my visit separately. after that i watched the disney's movie "Confessions of the Drama Queen". watch it if you got the chance. very nice show.
ended at 9pm. went to eat supper. i first got the idea then my whole family went. ate at this pathetic restaurant.i ate prawn noodles, my mum and aunt said saltist but i thought it was ok. my mum and aunt shared nasi bryni. after that went to amusement park to see see. a lot of smokers. and very noisy so ent back to hotel.
couldnt sleep. so i played game boy. and watched tv n see photos. slept at abt 12 midnite.
woke up, went to kfc to eat bf. my whole family except me ate chicken porriage. i ate some small chicken cutlets with potatoes and hot milo. porrige was watery and chicken wasnt enough.
after that walked around. wanted to but a present for someone b4 going back. dont bother waiting, i have given the present already. so if u didnt receive it, too bad. had to find the bus terminal and then waited there for the bus. b4 that i just wanted to eat ice-cream so my aunt followed me to mac and ordered mcflurry m&n and spicy beef foldover set meal. both not available here. i only wanted to order the foldover but my aunt insisted on buying the set meal, fearing that my mum, dad, and herself would feel left out seeing me eating my foldoever. the mcflurry would be nicer with oreos, i think. foldover is nice.
went back. stopped at yong pheng. the wafer biscuit there is nice. on the way to genting i ate the chocolate feeling and the carrot cake. carrot cake is not very nice. on the way back to singapore, i got the peanut butter filing and my aunt got chicken rice and i mum bough hot plate noodles. the wafer biscuit of both flavors was nice. the carrot cake wasnt v nice. hot plate noodles and the chicken nice was nice, especially the chicken rice.
